REI Habitat is a property developer founded in 2009 on two pioneering convictions: to reduce the carbon footprint of new construction, and to commit to building with French wood. REI Habitat is deploying a collaborative method for "making the city", in which everyone becomes a player in the process: co-design of shared spaces with residents through the subsidiary ReMake; participation in the 1 Immeuble 1 Forêt program with industry professionals; organization of the Les Nuits des Forêts festival for the general public.
Developed with LAN. 132 apartments with breathtaking views over the Seine. Communal and shared spaces: gym, restaurant, green terrace on the top floor.
Located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, Wood Up is the world's 1st beechwood tower and Europe's tallest hardwood building: 50 m of woodland rising from the banks of the Seine. Designed by the architect LAN, a landmark for the French forest-wood construction industry, the project combines technical prowess, architectural innovation and environmental excellence. REI Habitat has taken the unprecedented step of becoming France's first PEFC-certified developer with a wood label. This ambitious project is part of a global approach to low-carbon construction, using French timber with the Bois de France label. Driven by strong environmental ambitions, Wood Up will also be aiming for NF Habitat HQE "excellent" certification, BBCA and the BiodiverCity and Effinergie labels. Wood Up will be the 1st project to benefit from the "Un Immeuble Une Forêt" approach, supported by REI Habitat, Fibois Île-de-France and Fibois Pays de la Loire. This ambitious approach associates each project with the implementation of a forestry operation to voluntarily offset the carbon emitted: afforestation / reforestation, experimental forestry program in R&D.
