History & Heritage

In the face of the climate emergency, the renovation of existing buildings and the regeneration of territories are absolute priorities if we are to achieve carbon neutrality. This collective undertaking goes beyond energy performance alone: it involves a global reflection on use, reversibility, materials, historical value and the place of heritage in the sustainable city.

In the presence of Didier Fusillier, President of the Réunion des musées nationaux and the Grand Palais, and François Chatillon, Founder of Chatillon Architectes and Chief Architect of historic monuments, presented by Olivier Marin - Editor-in-Chief of Propriétés Le Figaro, this SIBCA highlight will highlight this structuring theme, through emblematic examples of low-carbon renovation projects. The Grand Palais, this year's SIBCA this year, embodies this dynamic, alongside other leading figures involved in major renovations such as Notre-Dame de Paris and the Louvre Museum.

These are just some of the ways in which heritage preservation, high architectural standards and environmental ambitions can be combined.
