Tudigo's move: transforming a 1,000 m² mansion into a hub for committed investors and entrepreneurs. 308 pieces of furniture found a 2nd life in these offices
Every year, 250,000 tons of furniture are removed from businesses, but only 4% is reused. The remaining 96% often ends up in dumpsters, deprived of any potential for reuse. At the same time, the world of work is undergoing rapid transformation: remote working, nomadism, flexibility, the quest for quality of life at work, and environmental awareness are transforming the expectations of employees, who now refuse to compromise.
It was in this context that Marion and Florian, who themselves had previously faced these environmental and social challenges as employees, decided to create Fairspace in 2020. Their goal: to reconcile sustainable development and well-being at work by bridging the gap between the growing desire of companies to become more sustainable and the structural challenges faced by circular economy players in developing large-scale solutions.
Our projects embody this mission: unique, user-centric workspaces that incorporate upcycled furniture for minimal environmental impact. We collaborate with committed circular economy stakeholders** to design tailor-made, sustainable, and local solutions.
The impact of committed sourcing of our projects in a few figures:
- 100% of our suppliers are French, supporting local circuits.
- 77% of the furniture used in our projects comes from the circular economy, limiting waste and preserving resources.
To go further, we have developed a dedicated carbon calculator, which allows you to estimate the CO2 savings achieved thanks to our sustainable solutions.
- Our latest 17 projects show sourcing with a carbon impact reduced by 58% compared to traditional solutions:
- Fairspace Projects Total kgCO2 equivalent: 397,285 kgCO2 eq
- Classic projects Total kgCO2 equivalent: 936,015 kgCO2 eq
- That is, a saving of 538,730 kgCO2 eq
At Fairspace, every project is designed to have a positive impact on resources, through innovative and sustainable solutions that quantify concrete environmental benefits.
In 2024, we received the Ecovadis Gold Medal and the Greenly Silver Medal.
