Ecocem is a pioneer in high-performance technologies that significantly reduce CO2 emissions in the cement and construction sectors. Its innovative ACT technology reduces the overall carbon footprint of the traditional cement manufacturing process by more than 50%.
Ecocem has been developing, manufacturing and supplying low-carbon cement and construction solutions to European markets for over 20 years. The company operates from plants in France (Dunkirk and Fos-sur-Mer), the Netherlands and Ireland, and produces over 2 million tonnes of low-carbon cement annually.
From the Grand Paris Express to Dublin's Aviva stadium, via the HS2 high-speed rail line in the UK, Ecocem has achieved a cumulative reduction to date of over 18 million tonnes of CO2 emissions. It would take more than 800 million trees to capture this amount of CO2 in one year.
Ecocem's investors include the Saint-Gobain group, world leader in sustainable construction, and Breakthrough Energy Ventures. Ecocem also counts ArcelorMittal, the world's leading steel and mining group, as a 49% shareholder in subsidiary Ecocem France.
An independent company with a world-class Innovation- R&D center, Ecocem offers technology, products and services enabling the cement industry to reduce its emissions by 50% by 2030, without major structural costs, and to build a more sustainable future for all.
The So Art residence is an innovative project based on the principles of responsible development.
By substituting cement clinker, we produce low-carbon cement. 30% of the average carbon footprint of a b timent comes from concrete, and almost 90% of that of concrete is attributable to the clinker contained in cement. With low-clinker, and therefore low-carbon, cements, you enable b timents to reduce their total carbon footprint.

Located in Serris (77) (Marne-la-Vallée), the So 'Art residence will offer a green and peaceful living environment. It features 106 apartments and townhouses spread over 5 buildings. Living spaces are designed to be bright, and mostly extended by exteriors.
The 7,805m2 program required 7100 m3 of concrete, or 2,300 tonnes of cement.
Strongly committed to an environmental approach since 2018, Legendre Construction has chosen to produce 100% low-carbon concrete using Ecocem CEM VI ternary cement.
Suitable for all exposure classes according to NF EN 206+A2/CN, CEM VI is a ternary cement made from ground granulated blast-furnace slag (CE), limestone filler and Portland cement (CE-NF).
It enables the concretes produced to boast a 34% reduction in CO2 emissions, compared with equivalent concretes made with conventional CEM II/A-LL cement. The carbon footprint of Ecocem CEM VI is 419 Kg eq.CO2/tonne.
EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) available.
The main benefits of Ecocem CEM VI
- It meets the regulatory thresholds of the RE2020 and anticipates the thresholds imposed for 2028.
- It enables a standard pace to be maintained during construction.
- It meets the requirements of current exposure classes for the concrete of the building and its shell.
Ecocem CEM VI is a low-carbon cement with characteristics similar to those of traditional cements used in the construction sector. It can be used to produce concretes ranging from C16/20 to C50/60, with plasticities ranging from S1 to self-levelling concrete (SLC). Ecocem CEM VI low-carbon cement is as easy to use on construction sites as standard CEM II.
