A specialist in wood solutions in France since 1962, the ISB Group meets the low-carbon needs of construction, development and industry with solutions that are technically efficient, naturally responsible and necessarily competitive. To solve this equation, the ISB Group brings together two activities:
- Silverwood manufactures sustainable and innovative wood solutions for interior and exterior fittings in France.
- Sinbpla chooses the best species in France and Europe, and selects high-quality engineered products and panels to offer complete solutions and precisely meet the needs of the construction industry.
Parts of the Jandri cable car in Les Deux Alpes are designed with a Kerto® LVL timber structure. A real technical challenge, in which wood was an obvious choice right from the design stage.
Project, solution, service and innovation for Sibca
All the products and solutions offered by the ISB Group are based on the raw material "wood": a "negative emissions" offer, as stipulated in the product EHSFs > with an average of -700 kg eq.CO2/ m3 of wood (Contribution to the mitigation of climate change). This result is one of the most effective levers for supporting the decarbonization of the construction sector and achieving LCAs that meet the most demanding low-carbon criteria.
In addition to avoiding CO2 emissions, wood products and building systems also store biogenic carbon (C stock).
This carbon impact is only a reality if the forest estate is sustainably managed and renewed. This is why the Group is 100% compliant with European RBUE regulations and is moving towards RDUE; it is also why products are FSC and/or PEFC certified. In addition to its carbon footprint and environmental impact, the ISB Group is strongly committed to its CSR policy. In April 2023, it was the first French manufacturer to be awarded an A rating in the Timber Score (LCB) rating system, in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture and the Minister of Housing.
Achievements
- The athletes' village of the Paris 2024 Games
To meet the low-carbon requirements of the Paris 2024 Games, three buildings in the Athletes' Village required the performance of the Kerto-Ripa precast system over 3,800m3 of floor.
- The PULSE building in Saint-Denis
The headquarters of the Paris 2024 Games Committee in Saint-Denis is a low-carbon, BBCA-certified building for which 58,000ml of US North Pine and Yellow Pine SAPS cleats were supplied.
- Simone Veil student residence in Paris
This building, clad in 4,500m² of bespoke larch cladding, houses the Simon Veil student residence in Paris, a feat of engineering in the heart of the city.
- Google Headquarter in London
Hasslacher Norica Timber's CLT panels, used for Google's new London headquarters (23,300 m²), offer technical, environmental and economic performance.
