Bordeaux Euratlantique is a development project covering some 730 ha in the municipalities of Bordeaux, Bègles and Floirac. An Operation of National Interest (OIN), it is led by the Etablissement Public d'Aménagement (EPA) Bordeaux Euratlantique, created in 2010. Supported by the creation of a network of green spaces and new pedestrian and cycle paths, its mixed-use program (public facilities, housing, offices, shops, business premises, hotels, etc.) should enable it to locate 30,000 jobs and meet the housing needs of 50,000 people. The Board of Directors of EPA Bordeaux Euratlantique includes representatives of the French government, the presidents of the Conseil Régional de la Nouvelle-Aquitaine and the Conseil Départemental de la Gironde, the President of Bordeaux Métropole and the mayors of Bègles, Bordeaux and Floirac.
