Brézillon - Expert in urban regeneration
Faced with intensifying and increasingly complex regulations, real estate and industrial players are looking for integrated, turnkey solutions to redevelop and add value to their land.
Brézillon, a specialist Bouygues Construction company, uses its expertise and know-how in environmental engineering to preserve and restore land, offering comprehensive support across the entire urban regeneration value chain.
Brézillon's teams have a wide range of skills, including soil and groundwater decontamination, reclamation of spoil, restoration of ecosystem functions and invasive plant management. Thanks to constant investment in R&D and an expert Engineering Department, Brézillon develops patented processes that combine ecological and economic benefits.
The combination of engineering and construction expertise enables Brézillon to support its customers in the environmental optimization of their projects, making them more virtuous and value-creating.
A committed and recognized company, Brézillon also develops innovative low-carbon solutions to reduce the environmental impact of worksites (on-site treatment of pollution, alternative transport of excavated material, manufacture and use of recycled materials), and places environmental innovation at the heart of its projects.
RevTer, a growing medium created by recycling construction site soil, is an innovative, environmentally-friendly alternative to topsoil produced by stripping agricultural land for urban development.
As a construction company specializing in environmental engineering, Brézillon has been involved in numerous projects, optimizing the site servicing phase in preparation for future construction. Here are a few examples of projects where Brézillon's involvement has significantly reduced the impact on resources and/or carbon footprint:
Integrated ecocenter" solution: the installation of an integrated ecocenter by Brézillon teams at the heart of the ZAC des Fabriques redevelopment project in Marseilles, a 14-hectare mixed-use project with strong environmental and social commitments, resulted in a 70% recovery rate for the excavated material, an 80% reduction in carbon impact and a 10-15% reduction in costs.
Plant-based civil engineering" solution: Brézillon offers its customers virtuous alternatives, such as the creation of plant-based acoustic walls using site spoil. On one of these projects, this type of structure made it possible to recover 22,000 m3 of soil from the site, saving 350 tonnes of CO2 and reducing the financial balance sheet by 16%.
Recycled fertile soil" solution: Brézillon has developed RevTer®️, a growing medium created by recycling construction site soil, representing an innovative and ecological alternative to topsoil produced by stripping agricultural land for urban development. This solution has made it possible to plant the roofs of buildings in the Ile-de-France region, without drawing on natural resources through the use of stripped soil.
Low-carbon depollution" solution: As part of projects to convert former industrial sites, Brézillon offers virtuous treatment solutions such as on-site depollution. Brézillon's patented Géoval process was recently used on one of these conversion sites.
Thanks to this process, 9,400 m 3 of soil were reclaimed, 1 truck trip was avoided, and the carbon footprint was reduced by 80%. This environmental approach enabled the customer to benefit from a subsidy from the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (Ademe), which also contributed to the financial optimization of the project.
For almost 30 years, Brézillon has been applying its expertise and know-how in environmental engineering to the preservation and restoration of territories, offering comprehensive support across the entire urban regeneration value chain.
