In 2006, François Cochet and Laurent Noca, founders of CCB Greentech, set themselves the mission of developing a low-impact, climate-change construction solution.
After years of R&D and more than sixty projects, TimberRoc® wood concrete was born. This biosourced concrete can be used to build load-bearing and non-load-bearing walls and floors for all types of buildings, up to R+10, in seismic zones 1 to 4. A number of construction principles have been developed and benefit from ATEx case A, and are available from licensed prefabrication partners such as Spurgin Leonhart and R-Technologies.
The special feature of wood concrete is that it has a negative carbon footprint, while allowing for structural construction. In addition to this unique advantage on the market, it has remarkable technical properties and is perfectly suited to today's construction challenges: very high inertia (guaranteed summer comfort), remarkable sound absorption, fire resistance, etc. It fully meets the requirements of the RE2020, which aims to combat climate change while adapting buildings to the heatwaves of the future.
The biosourced raw material used in the formulation of TimberRoc® wood concrete is a high-quality wood aggregate with the Bois de France label, produced from pulpwood (not usable as lumber) sourced mainly from PEFC-certified French foresters, i.e. those who manage their forests sustainably. As the proportion of biomass in the material is significant, TimberRoc® wood concrete has been awarded the "Biosourced Product" label, and is eligible for the "Biosourced Building" label regardless of the construction principle used.
Established in 2021 in Beaurepaire (38), on a former industrial wasteland, CCB Greentech has two plants: a wood aggregate production plant and an R&D pilot plant. The site's 14 employees are happy to show visitors around at regular open-house events.
In March 2023, wood concrete won the Be Positive award for the best constructive solution among 57 innovations presented. In July 2023, CCB Greentech was awarded the "Greentech Innovation" label by the French Ministry of Ecological Transition.
In April 2024, wood concrete won the Nordbat competition for best innovation.
TimberRoc® wood concrete is a breakthrough innovation for the construction industry, which is good for the planet, good for building users, and good for those involved in the construction process. Come and discover it now on our website: www.ccbgreentech.com

Numerous wood concrete projects have been completed since 2022 (the year in which the first case A ATEXs were obtained):
- Offices
- Single-family homes
- Multi-family housing
- An industrial workshop
- An evangelical church
- An extension to a cinema or nautical center
- Family home

anywhere in France, since our prefabricated wall and/or floor solutions can be used in seismicity zones 1 to 4.
Virtuous buildings whose wood concrete structure, labeled a Biosourced Product, has a negative carbon footprint (certified by 5 FDES) and thermal performance guaranteeing summer comfort.
The remarkable acoustic absorption of wood concrete was also highlighted as a key argument by users of these b timents (€50,000 in acoustic panels saved for the Evangelical Church), as was the lightning speed of implementation.
