GRDF is France's leading gas distributor.
GRDF's 2024 - 2028 corporate project called "Mission Décarbonation" has 3 objectives:
- help our partners and customers reduce their carbon footprint
- divide emissions from our activities by 2
- multiply by 5 the production of green gas
Hybridizing gas boilers with heat pumps, geothermal energy, solar thermal energy or biomass is an effective lever for decarbonization in the building sector.
Decarbonizing the b timent thanks to energy hybridization and green gas.
Hybridizing gas-fired collective boilers with heat pumps accelerates decarbonization at controlled cost. Feedback from the field shows a reduction in carbon emissions of over 50% following the hybridization of existing boiler systems. As part of a comprehensive renovation project, the hybrid heat pump combined with an improved b ti system can achieve a B label. The hybrid heat pump, which complies with the RE2020 2025 thresholds, is also a competitive solution for new-build projects.
At the same time, gas is being injected into the grid thanks to the growing production of biomethane from agricultural and urban waste. Injection of renewable and low-carbon gas into the grid will increase to represent around 20% of gas consumed in 2030 and over 40% in 2035. CO2 emissions linked to gas consumption fall by an average of 7% per year between 2024 and 2035 in the "Perspectives Gaz 2024" scenario.
For each use, GRDF offers pragmatic solutions to reduce the carbon footprint of b timent: sobriety, green gas, energy efficiency and high-performance equipment.
GRDF is the 1st gas distributor to commit to a decarbonization trajectory - all scopes combined and at constant scope - in line with the Paris Agreement.
